Artists of the Oaks –
An Art Club founded in 1977
Artists of the Oaks promotes interest in the arts through educational and informal social activities. Our members enjoy varied presentations given by guest artists at our monthly general meetings.
Membership is open to all interested in art and photography. We are a combination of producing artists, beginners, and people who love art in all its various forms and who enjoy meeting regularly to share this passion
Located in Penn Valley, California, in the beautiful Sierra foothills of Nevada County, Lake Wildwood is a gated community with a population of 5000 professional, business, and retired residents.

Margaret Lindsey, MFA, is a mentor, healer, life-long artist, educator, creativity coach and facilitator. she defines “art” as a creative action taken, as inquiry, as a quest. She has mentored and taught transformative art processes for decades, and is passionate about this work.
She lives and paints in the mountains outside of Nevada City, CA, and shows her paintings in galleries and community spaces. She guides expressive art and healing retreats in various settings. Website: artransforms.com
