Cathy Diamond

Cathy finds inspiration in the faces of the people she meets on her travels, excited by the thing that makes each person unique, such as the expression in their eyes or maybe a crooked smile. For her, it is amazing to watch a painting evolve as the faces begin to speak to her. Cathy also loves abstract expressionist paintings and has been trying this approach in her portrait paintings. Besides pastel portrait painting, Cathy enjoys the beauty of transparent watercolor, especially when painting florals.

As a member of both the Wildwood and Pioneer Arts Clubs, Cathy has been fortunate to make friends with artists who have encouraged her to find her own artistic voice. She has organized and participated in many local art shows where she has been recognized with a number of awards. Cathy has also exhibited her work in area businesses.
